In the case of the active conflicts (Gaza, Ukraine), it seems that there is a strong disconnect between internal-facing media and political will and external facing media on potential allies.

I would have liked some more unpacking of how this disconnect would have been interpreted by Clausewitz.

It also struck me that as an outsider to these conflicts, I assume that the combatants are acting rationally from the perspective of the adage (“No one starts a war—or rather, no one in his senses ought to do so—without first being clear in his mind what he intends to achieve by that war and how he intends to conduct it“) and I judge the morality based on the inferred intent.
