Non-animal testing technologies — from human organoids to organ-on-chip systems and advanced computational models — are now mature enough to outperform traditional animal studies in many areas of biomedicine. Yet journals, funders, and scientists still often default to animal models due to inertia, legacy regulations, and peer-review bias.
