I built Typefaster with a feature I haven't seen in other typing tests: a visual pacer that shows where you'd be if you were typing at your average speed (based on your last 5 tests).

It's like racing a "ghost" version of yourself in video games — the pacer underlines the word you should be at, so you can see in real time whether you're ahead or behind your typical pace. Makes practice much more engaging than just watching a WPM counter tick up.

Other details:

- Real-time metrics (live WPM, backspace counter)

- Progress charts showing improvement over time

- Word-level error tracking to find your weak spots

- Practice mode built from your actual problem words

- All data stored locally (no backend)

Tech: Astro + Vue/TypeScript + Chart.js (pure client-side).
