This is probably the sanest answer in the thread :)

The tricky part for me is that I’m trying to design a workflow that keeps me informed enough to spot the survivors while not burning all my time on the tourist phase of the cycle.

Curious how you personally handle it in practice: do you genuinely ignore the space until things blow up, or do you keep a minimal pulse (e.g., a couple of trusted sources) and just refuse to engage with the day-to-day hype?

Good question. Personally I mostly scan headlines. From time to time I read articles from the FT or Bloomberg or similar trusted sources.
