I recently purchased an iPad Air and am blown away at how bad the UX is. Notes is incredibly buggy, the iOS is not optimized for the pencil pro (seems like it delivers very little value outside of visual arts programs), the Siri +gpt experience is laughable, and I can go on…

I’m a long time Apple user and I’m concerned with the state of things.

Im considering returning this piece of junk.

Now that there are plenty of Chinese tablets that are excellent for the primary use case (media consumption) at a very good price for the hardware quality, iPads are definitely overpriced.

And the "Pro" lineup fails to be a true laptop replacement. People buy them for the “cachet” or out of habit, but I think the situation is much worse than people think.

The built-in obsolescence via software deprecation is also starting to bite them in the ass. If you cannot expect the tablet to last more than 6 years, there isn't much reason to buy Apple, considering competitors quality/performance is more than enough.
