I don't know if it exists in other models, but the Lincoln Nautilus steering wheel features thumb trackpads. On touch it pops up radial menus on a display in the driver's primary line of sight. Although I find the wrap-around display a bit much, the trackpads are an intuitive and thoughtful compromise to the matrix of physical buttons.
