I think there is a lot of noise but the idea of a humanoid working "for free" is so appealing that I think it will go mainstream as robot vacuum cleaners did - but surely most of the current companies will fail. And yes, I think surgeries will probably be done by specialized robots. They just want you to believe how precise their humanoids can work.
