Ask HN: What is the psychology of Reddit users?

I’ve been using Reddit for a long time, and I’ve noticed inconsistent reactions to similar posts. Sometimes I receive positive feedback and upvotes; other times I receive a lot of negative responses with no obvious explanation. After two years of using Reddit, I still don’t understand how Reddit users think or the psychology behind these reactions

Isn't that a very large sample size so it could be expected to represent a mainstream "psychology"?

That would imply things are dominated by the conventional lack-of-wisdom as well as common lack-of-sense.

I wouldn't bother trying to figure it out, you'll just get depressed following the hive mind. Just post with no expectation that you'll be liked.
