What a terrible argument.

Without quibbling over all of the faults in the analogy, he's missing something important: if Wilt Chamberlain were a million times better than the next best player, the NBA would collapse. Nobody wants to watch a game with a predetermined outcome.

There are so many differences that it's hard to imagine that he's proposing the analogy seriously. But I also don't think he's thought deeply about sports.
