It has been done to a few people over the past century. One guy flew around the world uncovering CIA agents. IIRC they couldn't convict him of anything but did revoke his passport on national security grounds.

the stronger possibility is that since there is no cohearant or credible resistance to the wholsale violations of law, US, international, religious or natural, and complete disregard for the constitution, the next move will be to impose a new constitution that gives unlimited power for life and privetises anything federal that gets a few more cronys
