part of the all-in-on-AI strategy is killing open computing. wintel is dead and companies need to convert that change momentum into a strategic shift.

They will eat the entire supply chain. AI demand has already captured memory and video component vendors, they’re gone. AI service providers will increasingly shift to proprietary chips and toolchains that cannot be replicated by end users. Checkmate.

The intent is to create a generational shift. Soon open computing toolchains won’t work on any ‘current’ hw, they’ll be just boot sale curiosities.

That’s why goog ms et al feel comfortable doing what appears to be crazy things historically. They know the end game.
