It's always been curious to me how Americans have pointed at places like China, mocking their government surveillance state, while also just allowing U.S. (and foreign) corporations to surveil everything under the sun, including our schools. Those corporations then sell or give information to both other corporations and the government.

These corporations have nothing in mind but profits and would sell your sould if it meant a tick up in their bottom line.
