OpenAI is using Persona for 'age' verification, as are countless other companies. Legislation is under way in all western countries to make this mandatory for every website.
Persona mirrors the data of all verification requests to the US government, that government system had their source code leaked. The horrific details of that are kind of presented badly here, I hope some journalists pick this up and make it more digestible but I doubt it, they just black hole it as they did on HN.
The mention of onyx is probably the most concerning, this comment here is probably indexed in there too, my threat score just went up. So just go along citizen nothing to see here.
