The "productivity gain" in the world of bits has been pretty much exponential for 100 years. But as they spill over into the world of atoms, they flatten into step changes, because you lose the compounding effect.

I do think we are on the verge of something tho. Once the compounding effect happens in the world of atoms (recursive robotics), it's over.
