While it's valid to compare Optimus unfavorably with Atlas, both Tesla and Boston Dynamics are not mainstream robotics companies. That may sound strange, but robots that companies buy and use in actual factories are made by neither of those companies. Robots that can walk around whether they are dog shaped or human shaped seem to capture the public imagination a lot more than robots that actually build stuff. But that's not where the money is, even if your robot can do parkour.
