.claude/skills/ is the original path for agentskills. Anthropic Claude created and has open spec'd https://agentskills.io.

Is .agents/skills/ less tool-specific?

The skill.sh README lists a number of agent skills paths that their tool supports, but the agentskills.io specification doesn't say? https://github.com/vercel-labs/skill#skill-discovery

It would be better for the spec to specify universal homedir-relative and repo-root-relative paths.
