"people" is doing a lot of work here. "people" is 99.9% of the world population that will be amazed and feel transformed when this hits scale. No one will care that the 0.1% are unimpressed and condescending about their increasingly-less-relevant expertise, and they won't care that you think it's made of simply carbon-based ingredients(yes, I'm a biochemist-technologist, and I'm alluding to how the whole biosphere is made of stupid simple things, mostly the same shit in repeating patterns, but that the right combination of them, with the right transition moment and energetics, it changes the whole ecology)
