I don't understand this thing where people can't get over the existence if null. If you ask your ORM for something that doesn't exist in the database, what exactly are you expecting back? Sometimes things just aren't there.

I dunno, perhaps I am thinking too simplistically about it, but as a concept it seems sound to me. The problem is when our logic is broken with respect to the thing's existence. Not null itself.
