Let's take some shaky numbers: In 2011 Zynga had US$1.1 Billion in revenue[2] and the video industry was worth about US$74 billion in the same year.

Assuming that Zynga's revenue is solely derived from gaming (I didn't look, tbh) that means in 2011 Zynga was 1.4% of gaming, by itself.

Maybe these numbers shouldn't compare this way, but if I'm right, that's rather significant and definitely 'serious' money.
