NSA scam

1 points| Raz0rblade | 12 years ago

After reading all the news about the latest advancement about a policestate. I was wondered, even if they had some kind of breakthrough on DES encryption (using dedicated hardware to do super fast modulo testing etc). Then still the amount of data would all require to be dechiperd.

Altough if rootkeys from verisign are known to them this might go a lot faster. Can anyone comment on would it would mean if verisign is hacked by them. For example if they have the rootkeys of some https website would they know all or just more easily hack a single account ?.
