I'd say it's ironic, considering that he stood against surveillance. I'd also say that it's interesting that his fiancee was killed in Iraq... Nah, all just coincidental, and I'm sure the reason the police won't release any information is just out of good taste.

If it is true that this man was killed by the state or related interests - history suggests that this could certainly be the case - that's pretty damn scary. I mean, a man is blown up in his car while driving down the highway.
