I find the article and this comment to be idiotic. Nobody is "confused" about MPG. It clearly is a measure of fuel "efficiency", read the fucking label.

GPM is essentially useless for anything because mom doesnt live 3 gallons away she lives X miles away and the price of gas varies along the route as do which car/motorcycle or jetski I may use to get there.
