I think it looks like its still open, but Android has won the mobile in my opinion. Here in US, we are oblivious of the stronghold that Android has in developing nations like India and China. Even in. Countries like the US, its still a two horse race. Look at Microsoft for example. Despite having a pretty innovative mobile OS, they are minor enough player to not even be considered in the article.
