I've flagged this article. (Which I rarely do.) It's not April 1st, and as the comments state it's a fake article.

The title should probably be changed to end in [Hoax].

Our original title is the kind of title you want to reserve for momentous occasions where it is justified.

This is fake. The pictures is of a baby kangaroo. The story is from NewsHound, a fake news site.
