Interesting stats. I was considering buying a Retina MBP but the battery is glued in. After 3 years, the capacity remaining extrapolated from the 2012 MBA in the article suggests this might be a usability problem after 2 years. My current 2011 MBP just had a new battery as it was down to an hour as well.

I'm also not willing to hand over my machine to an Apple store data and all to get a replacement sorted.

Interesting predicament.
