I've always loved the numerical coincidence that, to a fairly crude approximation (a bit better than two decimal places), π billion seconds is a century.

I just thought it was inspiring that we only get to live 3-4 billion seconds at most, seconds count.

Celebrating it also certainly beats celebrating birthdays :)
