Nice to see an objective analysis of the situation and pulls out some good points. Western media's portrayal of many events in the Middle East our highly antagonistic and make a mockery of any idea of objective news coverage.
The lack of knowledge regarding the capabilities of ISIS is a very interesting detail. There is no way that a high functioning organisation, there is no denying that it is effective in terms of administration, military capability, diplomacy and propaganda, can just appear out of no where without some very capable individuals guiding the organisation. The burning question is where did they get these capabilities, it really does not just materialize out of some random assortment of uneducated militia men.
