Same kind of synesthesia here! fist bump (also annoying that chrome dictionary still doesn't recognize "synesthesia" as a word...)

One of my frustrations with synesthesia is describing the "impossible" colors when people ask about letters lie 0, O, I, or 1... In my mind these are simultaneously transparent, black, AND white.... but when you write out "zero", "oh" and "one" the colors are different!

And don't forget the "blurring" when you try to describe what color a _word_ is... Sometimes the first letter takes dominance, sometimes a middle syllable is particularly strong and has more color than the rest... where's the logic? ;P

That said, I wouldn't trade synesthesia for the world. I love having a free set of associations to help with recall and learning. The number of times I've remembered something because of its color rather than a more logical reason is too many to count.
