Yeah. It doesn't work on my Note 3. Samsung disabled copy & paste in the Emergency Call dialer.

The author clearly didn't do his research, simply assuming that the vulnerability affects all Android devices:

> But there's no telling when it'll reach Android devices made by Samsung, LG and others. Blame the Android's fractured updating system, which is slowed down by phone manufacturers and cellphone network carriers.

> Whether you're 70 or 100, you will be frail, dim-witted[1], and unattractive

That perspective seems self-centred.

As long as he can still be a source of joy to people around him and makes the world a better place in his own way, I'd say it's a life worth living.

The intro video already has a few red flags to show that he doesn't know what he's talking about (or he's not being honest):

- He considers the 240x240 display an HD display

- He claims the watch has 4GB of RAM

His Kickstarter page is so full of BS materials that anyone with just a little bit of common sense and technical knowledge about smartphones should be able to tell this is not a legitimate project.

CervezaPorFavor | 12 years ago | on: iOS 7 colors

In my opinion, the colours don't look professional or polished at all. It's like something that an amateur designer comes up with.

I would have preferred the colour scheme of Flat UI: http://designmodo.github.io/Flat-UI/

But I'm not a designer. There could be a valid explanation as to why the chosen pastel colours are the absolute best for iOS 7.

EA on not allowing larger cities: "The system performance challenges we encountered would mean that the vast majority of our players wouldn’t be able to load, much less play with bigger cities."

Seriously? If they had allowed offline play in the first place, the city size would only be limited by the player's own hardware.

I've only been to a few countries in the Middle East, so I can't generalise. But one thing common among these countries is the lack of warmth, sincerity and humility among the locals. It is one of the most unpleasant and hostile cultures that I have encountered in my years of travel.

They treat blue-collar foreigners as lesser humans.

EDIT: To clarify, I've only been to Qatar, UAE and Bahrain.

CervezaPorFavor | 12 years ago | on: Why I Hacked Apple’s TouchID and Still Think it is Awesome

I'd say this is probably the first time it's done right on a popular computing device (to my knowledge). Previous fingerprint scanners always required the finger swipe gesture, which was frustratingly difficult to get right.

Just like the pattern lock (or face unlock and its variations) on Android phones, the idea is to encourage users to have at least some protection.

As an Android phone user, I hope to see this being adopted by the Android manufacturers (and I hope the Apple camp would shut up about people copying their idea).
