>He had started working at Prasa 15 years earlier, shooting up the ranks to become chief engineer, thanks to his fake qualifications.

This is the bit I find remarkable. He actually did the job for 15 years and moved up to chief engineer.

Was he actually a good engineer or did his performance not matter at all for his career progress?

Being able to fit all my possessions in a backpack is something I think about.

Can you go in to more detail on the stuff you own?

In what kind of climate do you live in? It seems a lot easier to not have a lot of stuff when you don't have to have cloths for multiple seasons.

Do you have a link to that study?

I remember seeing a study that showed that people who take notes on paper do better vs people who take notes on a laptop. People who didn't take notes(or take very few) weren't mentioned.

The problem with the authors principles is that they are based on a study[0] that has failed to replicate and was faulty to begin with[1].

>I can tell from personal experience that I only properly understood simpler mathematics when I started learning more complicated one.

That's interesting, I have similar experience. Maybe that just means we didn't learn the original material well enough?

>Those that went into finance make consistently much more than the others

Hm, I would never have guessed that. Does anyone have any data on this?

The top 1% sure, but the average and median also?
