Ok, my feed is blooming with posts and opinions on this recent KRACK vulnerability. What do you guys thinks of all this fuss? Is it a real threat? These guys, of course, are telling that one should use a VPN and update everything I can as soon as patches are available. Is it so?

interesting if they implement facial recognition eventually how would this boost the acceptance of this technology as a whole. Reading a lot about it and even participating in testing (like my bank is testing some sort of biometric authentication on me) feels like people are not yet comfortable with yet and far away to compromise it...

Everula | 8 years ago | on: How to get press for a startup (2015)

Though the article is 2 years all, it is still relevant good thorough read and a great piece of knowledge, thank you for sharing. Having a talk with our PR manager recently about newsworthy events interesting for media like launch, update, new cool features etc and what to do between them to stay on top, we came to confusion (again) that content like research, analytics, tests, content cards etc should cover those gaps and the questions we still have is whether to pitch it to media as an exclusive content for them or put in on your blog, create dedicated landing page designed for this content and share it with media? I know that it works both ways for different companies, but as a marketer I am more interested in the second option, while PR likes the exclusivity of course. What are your best practices to stay on top while there are no real product news in-between?

Everula | 8 years ago | on: A media company in Mumbai is giving women a day off during their periods

hey, personally I do feel really bad in the first day and when I need to go to work I always think "I wish I could stay at home and work from there", so it really impacts my performance and from one side it is indeed a great idea, but it is sexism towards men - they also feel bad from time to time, so why not unify this practice for all and just give more paid day-offs / sick leaves, as was already mentioned in the comment above. Also, I am not very comfortable letting everyone in the company know when the period starts and gossip about that (yes, this is also a topic for gossip).

Thanks for sharing, I am like maniac about Google Analytics and everything related these months as I am totally immersed into it for my work. So, I am checking everything that can ease my work and have couple of questions: - When I just saw your headline in HN and then text on your website I got a strong association with Google Data Studio, which also promises to make my data beautiful and insightful. Maybe because I am using it a lot recently, so how do you compare yourself with it, what are the main benefits over Data Studio? As well as benefits over GA solutions gallery, where you can download ready-made dashboards, you know. - I activated my free trial and connected my GA account, HackerMetrics showed me one dashboard with main data - how to add data and create other dashboards? These questions are no offense, just from a potential customer ;) Thanks.

agree, we just made a small survey among our customers to learn whether they are looking for more secure way of authentifiction and data storage generally for their work/business (not only our product) and of course almost everybody replied with "yes, definitely, we need more security" and on the next questions about how much are they willing to spend on it, more than 80% replied with "depends on the price", which means security is indeed not in the top priority and is quite price elastic.

this is something that my bank is testing on its users now, whether I need to confirm the transaction or cancel my automatic deposit prolongation it asks me to make a photo and send it to them for confirmation, which takes them in average 5-10 minutes. Though it is not a ver comfortable way for an end-customer, I guess some kind of biometric authentication/confirmation will take place as soon as a user will tolerate that.
