In theory couldn’t you download the application but then it just makes API calls to OpenAI?
I am trying to use HuggingFace and suspect I will get similar answers to GPT-4. Can someone who knows how to download it ask for example which country Justin Trudeau is the president of?

If they were easy to find, companies wouldn’t need to offer them billions per year or spend months paying headhunters.

Good. Perhaps even more would be justified. CEOs who can run a company at FB-scale are in depressingly short supply.

One can only wonder whether DJT could pull off an operation warp speed for AGI. Perhaps we’d be at DALLE-3 by now!

A market like groceries is so cutthroat and low margin that this would basically be impossible.

It’s largely cope. Love him or hate him, insanely talented, hard-working, and intelligent.
Calling him a showman and conman is great way to posture superiority over the guy shooting rockets into space and hiring 100k+ people

They need a sexy website. Feels like boomer org made worse by being drowned in DEI woke language. No very high competency young people would want to work for this IMO

Why don’t their employees quit then and work somewhere better if they have the opportunity? If they don’t have a better opportunity than seems like Amazon is providing a valuable opportunity. Not to mention we seem to be in a worker-favorable economy.

So much of the Meta hate in tech circles comes from same cope psychology of engineers thinking “if you build it they’ll come” and failing at acquisition.
Ads help SMBs and larger ones so much. Sure there’s issues here and there but meta has probably pushed GDP forward pretty hard and enabled awesome amounts of product discovery, and this is just on the ads side. Think of everything people have learned on FB/IG. I’ve met so many valuable people.

They should earn $15/hr. The faster we impose a global minimum wage (or harsh sanctions on violators) the better.
Also surprised there aren’t more content moderators. FB (just FB alone for now due to them being a monopoly) should be required, IMHO, to review every piece of content before it is shown in a feed using human review. We don’t let movies get shown before they get reviewed (e.g. PG13).

It’s sickening how unethical of a move this is. EU regulators are going to deprive hundreds of millions of people from being closer together / sharing valuable memories. This will go down in history as one of the worst abuses of state power.

on: Ask HN: For finance nerds, why do inverted yield curves predict Deflation?
Because they (the lenders) tie (put) their money and funds into stuff for longer time because of uncertainty (not knowing what’s going to happen next).
