Yeah I imagine they're still building and experimenting - and early adopters should treat it as such. Better to set no price rather than guess incorrectly and advertise the wrong price.

> But why bother putting a real driver in here at all? Magnets not only add weight, they take up a lot of space. Looks like one corner Apple refused to cut on this tiny disk is sound quality.

I find it fascinating what tradeoffs are decided upon. Apple is arguably the best luxury brand in the world - and this is why.

I've been meaning to update my personal website for a while - and learning IPFS gave me a great excuse to get started!

I had a great time learning IPFS basics and getting something published. I'm a total n00b with this stuff - but the IPFS learning resources were great.

I wrote a blog post too: http://justinpoliachik.com/posts/2020-03_ipfs_website/

Working on a Part 2 where I talk about building the blog and publishing via GitHub Actions.

Feedback welcome! Let me know if I missed any technical details...

Put on a "hacking" demo by using chrome debugger / inspect element to modify html. Ask kids who their favorite celebrity / athlete is, pull up their twitter and edit the tweets to say "Joe is so cool!", etc. Load the school's webpage and change the names of teachers. Make it goofy.

Amazon didn't build this to generate extra revenue on 'impulse buys', they built it to collect a fuckton of data. And while they own the retail space, delivering fresh food isn't easy with their infrastructure. I'm guessing they'll Beta the Amazon Go system for a few years, then offer it as a service to existing Grocery chains. THEN fresh food delivery will be a snooze, since Amazon will have access to the Whole Foods down the road.
