Am I supposed to Google what the hypothesis is? Is it really too much to ask of writers to provide context first?

on: How Satya Nadella turned Microsoft around
Windows 10 search function is completely broken, it won't even find a program that's in start menu, not sure if it's because I disabled all the online functionality of search.
If I want to find something online instead of my computer I use a browser.
Thankfully there are great alternatives for the atrocity, such as Everything, it's mind-blowing how a third party program is orders of magnitude faster than native system search.

on: Ever Plugged a USB in Wrong? (2019)
Not all vga connectors are made equal, I had some that would quite easily plug in the wrong way, luckily no damage was caused by that and it was back in the day.

Had to triple check what site the article is on, the level of writing shrank my brain five fold, the amount of repetition and general lack of information is just too much.

Around 9 years ago I was prescribed a weighed blanket with chains inside it, an enormous help to my sleep quality and even helpful daytime during stressful times. I have Aspergers.
Nice to see these become more common alternative to medication.

on: Net Neutrality: Time to Use Mesh Networks to Build Your Own Internet?
Do you know your isp?
How about everyone else providing you the access to online content?
I for one find no difference between random people and.. Random corporate people.
Neither can/should be trusted, ever, this is why we have cryptographic means of keeping our business between us and the content provider, no one in between should be able to provide you with false content.
Sadly this isn't perfect, but this technical challenge must be strived towards, no law can ever protect you as effectively as a good technical implementation.

on: Stop Guessing Languages Based on IP Address
A great annoyance in Finland is the Google maps enforcing minority language on everyone, a lot of the place names are in Swedish even though app and everything else is in Finnish, there's no option to change this either.

on: Brain in a Jar
Finland average coffee consumption is almost 3 cups a day per person, but that's a bit misleading statistic because it includes children too, who in general don't drink the stuff.
