For a while Amazon loved selling the smaller units for a little as a dollar (and often including several months of Amazon music for free or almost free as well).
Sell enough of these 30 dollar gadgets for a dollar and it will add up quickly.

You should keep going with Brothers Karamazov. The first 150 pages are mind-numbingly boring. But starting at around page 151, it does indeed become one of the best, if not the absolute best book ever written.

I've never had the TSA confiscate my bladeless Swiss Army Knife (it has scissors and a screwdriver).
But I have had it confiscated abroad more than once. Many other countries won't allow scissors, or anything that looks like a knife, to fly.

Other languages that are spoken in multiple countries might be technically standardized, like the RAE does with Spanish.
But that doesn't mean people outside of Spain follow the standard. (And depending on class and what part of Spain you live in, there's a good chance you don't follow the standard either, I'd imagine.)

For EC2 instances and the like it will be almost all X86 for a long time.
But much of the cloud is made up of services like S3, RDS, Redshift, Route 53, etc. ARM can be very competitive for many of these.
