I always give a chance to new applications, services or products that have the potential to be more effective substitutes for current problem solvers.

And besides, early users always get the benefits. For example, free use for a few years, or special subscription plan.

Not too bad for trying the product as one of the first.

Personally, I subscribe to a waitlist of tools that can increase the efficiency of my work. And also tools to increase personal productivity (Notion like tools). I won't say there are VERY many of them, but if I come across a site with a good description, why not get notified when the product is ready.

For example, that was the case with Pitch.

well, a lot of beautiful products and businesses use a waitlist mechanics.

Very simple way to get notification. You can follow socials, or if you don't want to read any news on your feed, you can leave your email.

People are added for waitlist on their own free will. No one is forcing them to do it :)

Don't see any big problems for users here. Especially the conclusions that you can't execute. What does this have to do with anything?

I think anything is possible. There are an infinite number of options for starting a company, and a remote co-founder (or even a few) is not a problem, in case the cultural, ethical, moral code coincides.

So look for people who are close in spirit and vibe.

— Beta users platforms

— Direct contacts (just to get first users and feedback)

— Posting your startup at platforms like Betalist

— Cold emails

— LinkedIn discussions

— Engaging on Facebook groups

— Organic search

— Slack chats

Why don't you want to make a Saas solution instead, a builder based on templates and design blocks (Readymag, Webflow, Tilda, etc)?

What are the pros of this approach? I agree with the comments above, it seems that this model is already outdated and won't scale.

After that you will understand what type/structure/design/features/texts you need for your own product.

1. We have few areas where we can strengthen resources (people, opportunities, tests). With VC we can run faster.

2. We could just take a bank loan, but of course, we expect additional value from VC in expertise, advising, experience. Therefore regular seed investments are suitable.
