Well, I personally agree, but I don't think everything in this matter is as objective as Feynman wants it to be seen, judging by the tone of his letter. I could definitely imagine the opposite opinions: "you need to listen to more experienced teachers as to know which problems to solve and which do not", or "you need to think big" and so on...
