Not pulling the plug here, in fact we will continue to work on the same project. If we apply again, we will submit the same project. This time with at least a demo or a beta.

I don't think Steve Jobs would ever say anything of sorts. Jobs did the exact same thing with NeXT. Does that mean that he didn't consider himself an entrepreneur? Human emotion plays a big role in our decision making and you can't have the same feelings for every project you start.

So what you are saying is maintenance! maintenance! and more maintenance.

This is no longer a great user experience and it's not longer a social network... No, this is without a doubt a media venture that will do anything to make their advertisers happy... at the expense of the users.

I wonder if you see your own contradiction? You had to go out of your way to make a point that users need to now attend the settings for every single product they use and maintain additional information. It seems that with every year things get more and more out of hand

Today, as an FB user I'm not happy. For one, I had to download a plug in for the new ticker (a news feed with in a news feed?) just to get rid of the annoyance. Tomorrow we will have to deal with a dozen more ticks.

No Hanibash, you're missing the main point... If FB and their partners want users to share, why not approach the users and ask for permission first? What's the harm? The user will either accept the term or decline it.

What we have here is blatant disregard for user security. Facebook is clearly saying that if you don't like it... you can dig around fb (or the partner site/s) and attempt to find the settings that control these new functions.

If facebook even had the slightest care in the universe about user experience they would at least ask the user to opt-in first to use the features. Since when does one company decide what I want to share, and who I want to share it with?...I do not want every one of my fb friends to see what movie I watched or what music I'm listening to. Nor, would I give permission.

In your situation you must first build up a small financial cushion before you attempt to spend the time learning code 16 hours a day. I’m not sure what you mean by "I'm a business guy" ...and "I have no clue how I should make money"? That's a strong contradiction I think is best to stay away from.

Yes but their copyrights are shrinking by the day. Most of the good programs have already been taken off Hulu because Networks like Fox, CBS, HBO have realized they can stream the content themselves. What do they need Hulu for?

I have to agree with Slater. Having only FB log-in might have it's advantage to limited content (why limit yourself?).

And to some degree it's better not to use FB login at all when you start out (again I'm not sure what your site does). But why depend on someone else to make or brake you? First build up a core user base. And think about the following:

Describe Key points of the site. Will it be a community site? Do you have a how it works page? Or a short Demo that outlines the site in a nutshell?

At the very least allow visitors to get a taste of the site is all about. Good luck, hope to hear more.

Hulu needs a new revenue, and subscription model. I canceled my paid subscription because I got tired of looking at ad's (constantly interrupting) in stream. What's the point of a paid subscription?

If I'm going to put myself through a scheduled annoyance I might as well go to cable/Dish. At least with them I'm not stuck with limited content.

Possible solution: They can just go Justin.tv on everyone and start encouraging (I mean discouraging :p) copyrighted material.
