I think the reason marketing and journalists use "boomers" is that they can then spend a paragraph explaining what a boomer is. Born in the 40s, born in the 50s, born in the 60s, born in the 70s would have saves us so much ink for the last 80 years, but I think _not_ saving ink was rather the point.

It differs dramatically. Your API is likely much much smaller than the inherent API of SQL tables. It's a difference in degree that is a difference in kind.

It's certainly not a new idea, however. Every product that allows backdoor access into their database directly has effectively done this. Hope you have your schema correct when your customers build a mountain of cards on top of your database schema.

Qt's site does seem to be trying to scare you into believing that you can't possibly comply with the LGPL and you really really should buy the commercial license, for your own sake.

LGPL isn't really that onerous though..

However, new modules in Qt 6 and any rewrites of modules Qt 5-> 6are now GPL, which is rather copy-left and will spread to the rest of your code.

I like Saxon math for kids. It implements spaced repetition with their exercises, so the kids actually retain what was taught.

Once they get Arm & Android coverage, that'll be my go-to solution. Rust for all business logic and remote synchronization. Qt/QML for display with accessors into the Rust model.

He may be able to get it done, but they've been trying waaay before that. I'm not sure where the history started, but they were trying in 2007. I hope they can make it happen.
