As someone who works in traditional employment, the idea of paying a weekly £2 premium for the privilege of time off when sick, grieving, etc feels weird and almost wrong to me. Although, the concept is intriguing, especially when viewed from a traditional business's perspective; I wonder how much it would reduce feigned sick leave?

I think the analytical approach is still working for Arsenal; Monreal, Koscielny, Coquelin, Bellerin, Carzola, Giroud - non of those guys were marquee signings who cost loads, but all are now indispensable and could arguably walk into most teams in Europe.

The analytical approach is clearly working for other teams too. The game is slowly changing and people are finally seeing the worth in the stats.

It looks cool. Can kantree import your Trello boards? I think if it can, then it could be a viable alternative. Otherwise, I think heavy Trello users might be too locked into trello to switch.

Forgive my ignorance, if anyone knows of an initiative that does what I am about to suggest... It's an idea off the top of my head, without too much thought: Is it about time we start to sign our javascript so that browsers will only execute the JS if it can verify the signature? I know, there are so many drawbacks, especially for those of us who are developers, but I'd value security on the Internet over the additional development overheads.

Or depreciate HTTP and enforce HTTPS only?

TuxMulder | 11 years ago | on: How much would you pay for digital content?

I think content in this link raises an interesting debate. On the one hand the righteous will argue that the Internet should remain a source of free information. On the other hand, it's ethically fair that people are remunerated for their work; furthermore, it's pragmatic to expect people to pay for digital content, so that we can continue to cover the running costs.

I think it's quite easy to neglect your own highlights reel and forget the good things you have going on in your own life. Made even more difficult if you don't actually post to facebook. Ultimately though, everyone's life has ups and downs; people tend to cherry pick the ups when posting to facebook, which is certainly worth remembering if you spend long periods of time on there obsessing over how much better other peoples' lives seem to be.
