on: Bitcoin Falls 20% on PBOC Rumors, Chinese Exchanges Reinstate Fees
The new fee structure seems more regulatory related. They did it overnight without warning, and right after the reported closed-door meeting. OKCoin the second largest CNY exchange followed suit and started charging fees. This would have been a great opportunity to capture market share if btcchina had made the decision without outside influence.

on: The origin of zero-based array indexing
The confusion beginners have is that 0 usually indicates a lack of something, while an array starting at 0 does have content. People don't start counting a heard of cattle with 0, since 0 would indicate the absence of any cows. However array x[0] can contain a value.

That was due to an improper update the community made to the code, not the code that SN wrote himself.

on: Coinsetter Launches US Bitcoin Exchange, Cross-Exchange Liquidity Coming Soon
I'm glad to see someone making progress in the US derivatives regulatory environment. Bitcoin badly needs an options market to reduce volatility risk, and this is probably a good first step.

>Atmospheric? Sure. Hypersonic? Why?
These are to augment current capabilities, especially if there's escalation of hostilities. If there's a conflict in the Pacific, we cant rely on having our forward air bases. Most likely these will be launched from domestic locations and ingress/egress time will have a large impact on total coverage time.

Lawyers are very careful not accept money that may be related to a crime. I doubt he has significant savings that he can prove was earned outside of Silk Road.

Since the wallet file is a set of private keys... they're basically the same thing. You're recreating the wallet if you're restoring the private keys from a stored copy.

What? You really think that the same amount of people will pay $10 for an article as $0.10. That's completely ridiculous.

Users that aren't providing any revenue will get pissed off. Companies work hard to create content and are bleeding money. Why do people feel entitled to free content?
The article is contending that users paying for content will increase the quality of content available since companies will have more on the line with bad articles. Bitcoin allows for the possibility of frictionless experience and no need for accounts with specific companies, just a bitcoin wallet.

Except these issues are with companies that are using the currency not properly understanding local regulations. This had nothing to do with bitcoin as a currency or protocol.
