on: Education Hacks: Schools kill creativity - Sir Ken Robinson
Ken Robinson has several talks regarding education on TED. I really love them and find them very inspiring. I listen to them regularly. If you never looked at it, I really recommend it. It opened my mind on a new type of education.

Did you mean that alternative schools have usually the same results as homeschooling or as standard schools?

on: Learning C++ in 2010
I like that book too. I am reading it atm. But it might be difficult if you don't have already a programming experience. But for those like me who know C already it is great because it explains all the differences between C and C++ and helps you to fill the gap between both. You can download it for free at the link mentionned above. I find it much more helpfull to learn C++ than Bjarne Stroustrup's book which should be better used as a reference once you know the language.

Except that he beats Andy Roddick on that 2009 Wimbledon Final. It is in Roland Garros that he beats Soderling in final that year.

As an up to date example, I tried a yahoo card game this week-end (
http://games.yahoo.com/card-games), and I couldn't launch the game in FF without installing the latest JRE plugin. The game in question if you wanna try is "pyramids".

on: The Best Kids’ Books Ever -- Summer Break and IQ
Am I the only one who think that the Harry Potter books are not for children? I read them all and after the 4th the story becomes very dark. I really liked them, It has been years since I wasn't so eager to read the next chapter in a book, but I am not sure I would like to give this to my children. At least not very young.

on: How to Retire On $500 Per Month
My wife is Thai, and I manage to speak thai a bit. I took several months of thai lessons. I confirm what has been said before. There is no yes/no word in thai. Those examples on those sites are just bad translation for beginners.
For example the word "chai" that they give for "yes" is more close to "true" when you agree with what has been said.
"Chai" is just a particular answer that can be given to a particular question. You can't use it as a "yes" answer to all question.
