Easier to just use a userscript plugin and have it override those settings on every page

Sorry can't cover $250/mo for 150k years. Can we stretch this out a bit and do $75/mo for 500k years?

Not sure if that was the Dreamcast being overpowered, the sheer genius of Randy Linden, or a bit of both.

on: Plex: Important notice of a potential data breach
Their password reset system is pretty bogged down right now, they DDOS'd themselves a bit sending the breach notice to their user base.

Tech like Android Auto could solve for this in a natural feeling way. Did these CAT phones lack mobile data?

Some Blender tools with a lower barrier to entry to do small tasks would be amazing, but hard to integrate into a workflow when the only fully supported file format is the Gloss3D format.

It also allows for searching by size which of course Google removed with updates but helps greatly when searching for icons, wallpapers, etc.

I find it fitting that #1 on your Wall of Shame is Uber. I've lost count of how many times I've tried to unsubscribe from their marketing. Even marking it as spam in Gmail dosen't seem to help.

As opposed to where? It is one of the few platforms that would allow a post like this other than security info forums, but if you aren't looking for credits on one of those 4chan is about all that is left.

on: Show HN: StowShare – The Airbnb of Storage
Same here. For instance I have a server with 4TB of storage and use less than 1TB of that, it would be cool to be able to "lease" out a block of space to a company that would pay a few dollars a month. There would need to be speed minimums and such, but interesting idea.

on: Shippos USPS Time in Transit Data
The data does show getting a parcel from California to most points in the east will have up to a 40% chance of delay. It seems their internal routes are getting backed up and causing a ripple effect.

A demo account would be very much appreciated. I love RSS and use FreshRSS heavily, but registering for this is above my effort threshold for something like this.

It's hard to look at her work as anything but criminal when she used 20 fake identities to pull this off. Once she ran out what she could do under her own name and started using fake ones, she crossed a line.

On NYT and many other sites you can bypass the paywall by editing the URL and adding a '.' between the .com and the rest of the URL (nytimes.com./2020/...)
