"WebTorrent is a wonderful library that allowed PeerTube to be created five years ago. But due to many limitations of the library we decided to implement and default to another P2P protocol used in coordination with HLS. This new HLS player works very well, and does not have all the limitations of the WebTorrent player. It also allowed us to implement live streaming in PeerTube."

Like Framasoft? Not that I know of. There are local versions in Europe. A lot smaller is https://disroot.org from the Netherlands.

There are floss projects that are growing: - Nextcloud (German) - Mastodon (German) - Element/Matrix (UK and French) - Pixelfed (Canada) - Small Tech (Ireland)

Congratulations! Great to see it finally getting feature complete. I will be playing SuperTuxKart a lot on local network.

I also cannot wait for openage, the Age of Empires II open source engine. https://openage.sft.mx/
