My website is https://www.homekasa.io/

This is the product that I am working on. The website is built on NextJS while the app is built on NestJS with React frontend.

The product is for Home Owners that have multiple homes and is designed to help them automate certain tasks as well as keep track of documentation and expenses (make tax time a bit less painful).

Also useful for property managers as a tool that helps manage multiple properties.

I am glad to see a focus on better writing tools. The other day I noticed Microsoft Outlook also offering auto-complete. Now, while these two are not the same, I feel that many users will benefit from this focus on better writing. This is especially welcome given the rise of short form writing encouraged by twitter or messaging.

abhaysaxena_hk | 5 years ago | on: Ask HN: Is frugality underrated in startups?

Lots of great discussion here already. My own perspective is that it depends on both your goals and your source of funding. If your goal is to disrupt an existing industry, or create something brand new then speed is more important than frugality. If you are trying to create a business that solves existing problems but in a cheaper / better way (and nothing wrong with that) then frugality is more important as staying power is crucial.

In fact, staying power is IMO the most critical determinant of success. If you can stay in business then you can learn from your mistakes and pivot. In that case the discussion between frugality and speed is all about calculating your staying power, which goes back to your source of funding :)

I have been trying to get into Clubhouse for a while. Can't wait for it to open up more invites. Of course, it will be interesting to see if it is able to maintain the quality of discussion as more people join the platform or whether it will also be marred by the issues facing Twitter and Facebook.

https://www.homekasa.io/

This is our startup which aims to make the experience of buying, managing and living in a house easier for owner, investors and tenants. Consolidate all transactions, paperwork, reminders and legal advice in one place.

We are looking to provide a single UI for tenants, home owners, property managers, service providers and investors to manage their entire workflow and also communicate with each other.

- Tenants and landlords are able to communicate with each others - property owners and land lords can find all the forms needed and fill them in, screen tenants, and manage all the finances, insurance and other paperwork from one place - managed expenses associated with the property - check if it makes sense to refinance or not

The app is a React-redux front end with the backend in NestJS with Mongo as the data store. The website is in NextJS (it is being updated in the few weeks)

We have had a lot of fun building it so far and we feel that the potential is so huge.

We have also gotten some feedback from users outside North America so we'll expand to Europe, Turkey, India and South Africa soon.
