I had completely forgotten about the Time Machine icon animating before. Interesting. Odd choice perhaps because I imagine most people have the hard drive at their desk, when wall power is easily available. There is a setting that enables backing up on battery power but I think the default value is disabled.

I see graphical artifacts when I wake my computer up as well, though I have a 2013 MacBook Pro. I'm thinking it's a software issue, it never used to happen before macOS 10.12.

Really cool. I love the Transit app and this is an awesome feature. Probably my favorite iOS app.
FWIW when I was in Montréal last summer I found the lack of real time data a bit off putting at first when trying to use the busses. However, I was reassured after experiencing that busses generally kept to their schedules, which is absolutely not the case where I live, SF. I hear the STM is rolling out real time data on certain routes but I guess Transit beat them to the punch!

OP's numbers are off. If you make $1,000,000 a year in SF, you pay 45% of your income as income tax. If you make $10,000,000, it's just over 50%.

Self promotion, but I recently wrote an iOS app that allows you to download YouTube videos for offline use and play them in the background. Unfortunately not on the App Store, but you can still put it on your device through Xcode.

I work at a startup in SF. I get reimbursed 100% for my health insurance costs, which includes dental and vision insurance as well. It's about $550 a month, or $6600 a year.
We would have a company plan, but we're small enough as to where it's more cost effective to reimburse everyone.

Can you give me a reason why money laundering should be legal? It seems that the only reason why you'd want to do it is because you're covering up for other illegal activities. Taking money from one source and making it seems like it comes from another source seems exactly like fraud to me.
