Seriously though what’s the connection between it being 2020 and there being more default RAM? Are you suggesting that in the year 2030 we should expect 100gb of RAM?

The goal shouldn’t be to increase ageing technology but to replace it with something better.

More ram is patch for components that aren’t hyper-optimized to work together. The whole point of what apple is doing with their own silicon is to create that optimization, thus reducing the need for excessive ram.

It’s worked for them for iPad and iPhone. Samsung et all would boast more ram but oddly enough iPhones were and remain faster

How is this a good thing?

All it shows is complete lack of trust and complete desire for control.

Shopify is an awful company to work for unless you’re a junior dev who likes nerding out and refactoring code over and over again.

I worked at Shopify for a year and it was the worst year of my life.

Woefully inept people work there who suck up and miss managements ass because they don’t want to lose their perks.

Shopify is a mirage.

ajharrison | 5 years ago | on: Facebook says it will stop operating in Europe if regulators don’t back down

It absolutely is. Despite the numerous attempts to #deletefacebook nothing has changed, Facebook now has ~9m advertisers compared to ~4m three years ago.

The fact of the matter is that people and businesses rely on Facebook and they won’t have the time or patience for an explanation beyond them from the governments out to get FB.

As Apple is (trying) to move away from a behemoth Xcode, Google is moving closer to their version of it.

Pretty frightening that you can’t see the obvious bias.

They could and should have named the “Iranian teen” in the headline instead of glorifying Magnus as some unbeatable chess god. Not to mention that in the actual article itself the hero image is of Magnus holding a trophy. For an article about how he lost.

Get with it.
