We all know that ideas often come when you discover a need for something that makes your life easier. I developed European Sports for tvOS so that I can watch squash coverage on my Apple TV. Eurosport doesn't have a tvOS app, so until now I've had to AirPlay from my iPad which is inconvenient, drains the battery and prevents me from using it for anything else.

I wrote a proof of concept back in May for my own use and sent it to Eurosport but didn't hear back. It looks like their apps may be developed under a new Discovery / MLB contract, so until then subscribers can use this app.

Apple rejected the initial version as a "copycat" that "leveraged Eurosport”. I have since changed the colours and the name and it is now available for free from the UK App Store.

The application itself is fairly basic, written in Swift 3 and uses Core Data. The model and API are more complex and I used Charles proxy to intercept traffic from the official iOS apps to generate them.

Please note that you require a subscription to Eurosport Player to use this app.

Thoughts appreciated!

I've recently got back into playing after a 10 year break. Back then I was learning from tablature online displayed in monospaced font, the quality of which varied from nothing like the music to pretty good.

Today, I find not a lot has changed, except the sites where I used to go to find tablature are now charging for the same material.

I'd like to pay for quality transcription of music (like the official music books) but available online or in an app.
