on: Ask HN: Any certification that is worth it? Legitimately helped your career?
I did the GCP Data Engineer certificate last year. I was able to ask 25% salary raise the next month and got a job at Google as a consultant this year. Of course, everything else including my experience also mattered, but I believe the certificate played a vital role as well.

on: Ask HN: What is missing from the current analytics tools?
Augmented analytics is something that the companies are trying these days but I haven't seen any impressive growth and feature in any of the tools yet.

on: Ask HN: How do I find a career path?
My advice to you would be that if you know that you are not going to like working as a programmer, then don't get into it. To support your passion for languages, try something different like analytics, implementation consultancy, client facing roles like business analysis etc. This will help in building your soft skills, which will eventually help you in other professions as well.

on: Data Hunter-Gatherer
I saw a documentary last year on YouTube about how F1 teams are using data (ML) to make decisions on each aspect of the race. On the last lap, they decide to trust their experience and intuition rather than listening to the ML suggestions, which costs them a couple of positions. Maybe not today, but we are not far away from the time when the F1 drivers stop listening to "humans" ;)

Thanks for the feedback @rawgabbit. I think the same that switching to health, insurance or bank is a good option.
