If they make a 1000x improvement it becomes even more dangerous because it can make you feel safe and unaware of sword of Damocles hanging over your head.
I hope I will be proven wrong, but I don’t think any of the current approaches will deliver level 5 autonomy.

I installed Emacs from brew and apt (on two machines) and just ran doom installation script which you can find in Doom's GitHub repo.
To find your way around you can just follow command descriptions when you press <SPC>.
Today I prefer lists over following and have several prioritized lists per interest, e.g. P0, P1, ..., Pn for programmers.
When I want to see what's going on, I start with level zero.
Very few people on my lists tweet every day. I enjoy reading people who tweet about new insights within their current area of interest - this rarely happens more than once per week. I aspire to have such account myself. I don't mind staying silent if I don't have something interesting to share.
